FootWave™ Plantar Fasciitis

Insole description

Plantar Fasciitis (inflammation of the plantar fascia under the foot) is a very common foot condition. Often it is associated with a ‘Heel spur’ - a bony growth in the heel area. The spur itself does not cause any pain, it’ a mere side-effect of plantar fasciitis and visible in X-ray images.

The plantar fascia is a broad, fibrous structure (a ligament) that runs under the foot from the heel to the toes. For various reasons such as injury, weight gain, age, overload, genetic factors (e.g. fallen arches of the foot), the tendon becomes excessively stretched or strained.
